Mưa lớn kéo dài khiến hồ chứa bùn của Nhà máy Luyện gang thép xã Nam Hòa bị vỡ, bùn đất tràn xuống khu dân cư.

Ngày 12.10, theo nguồn tin của Báo Lao Động, hồ chứa nước bùn của Nhà máy Luyện gang thép (chủ đầu tư là Công ty cổ phần Luyện kim đen Thái Nguyên) công suất 100 nghìn tấn/năm ở xã Nam Hòa đã xảy ra sự cố vỡ bờ bao.

Ghi nhận của PV thời điểm giữa tháng 10.2025, khu vực hồ chứa nằm trên sườn đồi, tại hiện trường bùn phủ dày trên nhiều khu vực đất canh tác, ao cá, bốc mùi hắc, nồng.

Người dân địa phương cho biết, sự việc xảy ra vào sáng 7.10, họ phát hiện bùn từ khu vực hồ chứa tràn xuống.

Khối bùn đặc sệt theo dòng chảy tràn xuống khu dân cư, vùi lấp đường đi, sân vườn và ao cá của hàng chục hộ dân hai xóm Gốc Thị, Ao Sen.

Thống kê ban đầu, sự cố trên đã khiến hơn 30 hộ dân bị ảnh hưởng về tài sản và diện tích vườn trồng, một số khu vực vẫn còn ngập sâu trong bùn.

Thông tin từ Công ty cổ phần Luyện Kim đen Thái Nguyên, ngay sau khi xảy ra sự cố, đơn vị đã huy động người và máy móc thu dọn bùn đất.

Hiện phía đơn vị đã đắp vị trí vỡ, tiếp tục gia cố bờ bao và tổ chức dọn dẹp khu vực hạ lưu đồng thời phối hợp chính quyền để xử lý, thống kê thiệt hại.
